The bobblehead craze is here to stay. Thanks to licensing deals and unique designs, this trend will continue. Already, there are bobbleheads of Game of Thrones characters, Peanuts characters, and Mickey Mouse. The craze is even influencing pop culture, including television shows and films.
This year, the Washington Nationals have released a limited edition World Series championship bobblehead and the Washington Capitals are giving away a Carl Hagelin bobblehead at a blood drive on Saturday, February 1. The Capitals also announced that a bobblehead of Adam Eaton and Howie Kendrick celebrating their home runs became iconic during the Washington Nationals’ World Series run.
The Padres have also changed their giveaway plan from a bobblehead of Fernando Tatis Jr. to a shirsey for Juan Soto, the player who was previously scheduled to receive a bobblehead. While the Padres were still aiming to give away a bobblehead of Tatis before his suspension, the unexpected news is disappointing. Tatis, who is in town to meet with Padres President of Baseball Operations A.J. Preller and Chairman Peter Seidler, is also expected to address his teammates during his stay.
