Bobblehead Nurse

Bobblehead Nurses are popular collectibles in video games and movies. These fun toys are based on characters from Silent Hill 2. The character Bubble Head Nurse was first introduced in the game Silent Hill 2 and is a sinister female monster that manifested itself from James Sunderland’s subconscious. She stands nine inches tall and features a dirty nurse outfit, metal pipe weapon, thin liquid trapped mask, and the iconic stance.

The name “Bubble Head Nurse” is a nod to the famous character, but some have speculated that it could have sexual significance. For instance, James Sunderland might have ogled at the nurses while Mary was dying, viewing them as objects without a face. Interestingly enough, Nurses used to wield a blood transfusion stand, but later changed to a steel pipe as a callback to the weapon that Harry Mason used to kill a patient.

In the Silent Hill series, there are different types of Nurses. The first movie did not feature Nurses, but Silent Hill: Origins did. The Faceless Nurses, based on Bubble Head Nurses, have a more organic appearance. They are covered with rotting tissue and may have burned areas on their faces. Their weapons are similar to those of the Puppet Nurses, but they twitch more than the other varieties.
