Penn State Announces New Bobblehead Football Statues

MILWAUKEE (WTOC) – If you’re an ardent Penn State fan, you may have to wait a while before you can get your hands on one of the school’s new bobbleheads. The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum released a “ranking tracker” bobblehead this week, which allows fans to change the school’s ranking each and every week.

The first-of-its-kind bobblehead was released this week in conjunction with the release of the preseason AP Football Top 25 rankings, and it will continue to be updated each Monday throughout the season. It’s part of a new series that includes the Georgia Bulldogs, Oregon Ducks, Tennessee Volunteers, LSU Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, Clemson Tigers, Michigan Wolverines and Penn State Nittany Lions. Additional schools will be added to the lineup leading up to and during the football season.

As for the bobbleheads, they are expected to ship in December and will cost $40 each plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8. They can be ordered through the Hall of Fame’s website at this link.

Another recently released bobblehead was of former SIU Salukis running back Brandon Jacobs, who led the team to a Gateway Conference championship and spent 10-consecutive weeks ranked No. 1 in the country. The bobblehead was a limited edition, and the first 1,000 fans in attendance at Saturday’s game against West Virginia will receive the doll. It’s the latest in a series of bobbleheads produced to honor NFL and college greats.
