Martial Arts Mistake: Head Movement/ Don’t Be a Bobblehead!

►Take my 7-DAY MARTIAL ARTS CHALLENGE! http://senseiando.com/updates/

You see it in every martial arts style– bad head movement. Whipping your head around like a bobblehead is a dangerous habit. So, why is it so common?

I think the root of the problem is the illusion of speed and power you get when you shake your head. As an experiment, try standing still while you whip your head around. It feels like you’re moving fast and strong, doesn’t it? But you’re really not!

This delusion is why martial artists looking to add more speed and power to their punches, kicks, and kata, start rocking their head. Which only helps the bad guy beat you up! You’re shaking your own brain!

No, I’m not talking about bobbing and weaving here, I’m talking about whipping your head around for no reason. Instead, you should challenge yourself to develop speed and your power without moving your head.

Keep it safe! Don’t be a bobblehead! 🙂
