Under Jon Kay, North Shore has become a 6-A dynasty. 4 of the past 5 years they’ve made it to the state championship game, winning 3 of those titles. This year, despite losing the 6-A Division 1 championship, might have been Coach Kay’s best coaching job. He lost his starting quarterback in week 5 and moved his best wide receiver to that position. The Mustangs continued to win as they pulled off 11 victories in a row including a win over Austin Westlake that snapped the Chaparrals 54 game winning streak.
